One-to-One Big Brothers Big SistersA local affiliate of the national mentorship program. The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Volunteers are matched with a child ages 6-14, and spend time together each week being a friend and role model for at least a year.

College Discovery ProgramThe College Discovery Program is a long-term school-based mentoring and academic support program that is designed to close the achievement gap in the Ithaca City School District and increase access to college for all kids in the program. Mentors commit to spending one-on-one time with a middle or high school student every week for at least a year. Volunteers who cannot commit to a full year can be tutors at homework club.

Paul Schreurs Memorial ProgramThe Paul Schreurs Memorial Program provides academic, personal and financial support to under-served youth who show interest in education and/or job training beyond high school. Tutors spend two hours each week helping students with homework. Mentors spend 3-4 hours each month with youth as positive role models. There are also opportunities at the PSMP after-school program. Volunteers spend 3- 5 hours a week helping students with their homework.
